Your click behavior and the privacy legislation ‘The Cookie Law’
General visitor data is tracked on Allurion Clinic’s website through Google Analytics.

As described below in the official statement that Google Analytics users must post on their website, this website uses Google Analytics. This program provides important statistics about numbers of visitors, pages visited, traffic sources and other essential information that Allurion Clinic can use to continuously improve this website for its users.

These statistics are anonymous and cannot be traced back to a specific person or user, provided you have given your consent in the form of targeting / marketing cookies. Targeting cookies make use of so-called “behavioral targeting” that builds a profile based on your click behavior. Your surfing behavior remains completely anonymous if you have not given permission for targeting / marketing cookies.

Google Analytics uses a cookie, which is a small file stored on your computer. In the new privacy legislation (January 2015) Google Analytics falls under the exceptions and Analytics cookies may be placed without prior consent of the user, provided Analytics is set up correctly and the duty to inform website visitors about this is met. Allurion Clinic does that on this page. You will also find a link to Google’s Privacy Policy Terms and Conditions here.

Privacy settings of Google Analytics
According to the Telecom legislation passed in January 2015, Google Analytics falls under the exceptions because this cookie has ‘no or only minor’ invasion of privacy. In addition, the Google Analytics cookie is a ‘first party cookie, meaning that the cookie on your computer has ‘ultherakliniek.nl’ in the file name and the data is officially owned by Allurion Clinic and not Google. The tracking cookie is not used for advertising or other commercial purposes.

In addition to the Telecom Act, the Personal Data Protection Act also applies. The use of Google Analytics is also permitted within this law, provided it is set up correctly. This involves four important conditions. (1) There is a processor agreement between Allurion Clinic and Google on the Analytics data. (2) IP addresses are anonymized so that data can never be traced back to you or your IP address. (3) Allurion Clinic’s Analytics account is set up so that information may not be shared with others. (4) The visitor is clearly informed about the use of Analytics and the possibility to ‘opt-out’. Allurion Clinic thus complies with all legal requirements. The Analytics cookie remains valid for 12 months.

Allurion Clinic uses functional, analytical and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file that when you first visit this website is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone. Allurion Clinic uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preferences are remembered. These cookies are also used to make the website work properly and to optimize it. In addition, we place cookies that track your surfing behavior so we can offer customized content and advertising.

On your first visit to our website, we have already informed you about these cookies and asked your permission to place them.
